A “garage size” family winery with just enough planted area and a wine production to sustain for a family granted all the family members take part in its operation.
The winery grows 5 hectares of gently slopped loess bedrock vineyard that was started already in 13th century by the Cistercian monks who first called the “cru” Krasna hora (a beautiful mountain). The vinery creed is to treat their vines as family, show them love and consistency and do maximum to bring the best out of them. So there is no chemical fertilization nor any other chemical input, the yield is carefully controlled and limited and the grapes are handpicked. The goal is production of dry wines with rich and elegant texture and lingering finish. These are the wines Krasna hora loves the most and the best reflect the Krasna hora “cru”.
