One of the oldies wineries in the Czech Republic with history dating back to the 13th century when it is first mentioned as the Knights Templar settled in the wine village Cejkovice and established a winery there, building a large and elaborate wine cellar where the winery still has its seat. The modern and recent winery history starts in 1936 when a cooperative was established producing its wine in the old Templar cellars up until now. As a cooperative “Templarske” is rather a larger winery with annual production reaching 4 million litres of wine. Most of the wine is white and it accounts for half of the annual production.
The wines are produced in several unique brands each closely connected with the culture and history of Knights Templar and the ancient Templar cross and the order symbol has been embodied in the company logo and is proudly presented by the winery up until these days.
