balaz

Vinařství Baláž is a small family winery with annual production of about 30-35 thousands bottles. The winery seat is in an old and traditional wine village Dolni Dunajovice in Mikulov wine growing area where the winery grows all of its vineyards.
Thanks to the natural growing conditions of Mikulov area and of course thanks to unique terroir of Balaz Winery vineyards, the winery focuses mostly in white wine production that accounts for more than 70% of the whole production.
Most of the wines is made from traditional and time-proven varieties such as the local number one variety Welschriesling, but also Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay and others. The winery also grows several blue varieties (Pinot Noir, Blaufränkisch and Merlot) which are apart from red wine quite commonly used for production of rose wines.
The winery creed is production of top quality wines with unique and original character of Mikulov wine terroir and wines that reflect their origin.
